Make the Most of Your Flagstaff Summer

Summer has officially arrived! Well, not officially (June 21st will be here before we know it) but the season of summer fun has begun. We know you’ve been playing outside all year, but summer brings a new slew of activities in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona. When you’re not busy hiking to the turquoise water of Wet Beaver Creek or sinking birdies on one of Flag’s five disc golf courses, there is plenty of family-friendly Flagstaff fun happening in and around town this summer.

If you’re looking for Flagstaff summer activities, consider this your official guide!

June

June sets the stage with some recurring summer markets, Pride in the Pines, and of course, disc golf.

Farmer’s Market: Sundays were created for farmers’ markets—change our minds. The Flagstaff summer Community Farmers Market is the perfect place to get your fill of local goodies. From fresh produce to hand-crafted raw cacao, you’re sure to find the perfect treat! It’s a perfect place to try a new food truck or stock up on veggies (hello, grilling season). This year marks its 22nd season of supporting local growers and artisans in and around Flagstaff, so come on down and get a taste of the real Flagstaff community. Note: please leave pups at home!

  • When: Sundays 8 am – 12 pm May 1 – October 30
  • Where: City Hall Parking Lot, 211 W Aspen Ave

Downtown Community Market: One day a week is obviously not enough to get all your local shopping in. The Wednesday afternoon Community Market is the perfect way to wrap up the workday and a great mid-week activity to spice things up. The Flagstaff Community Market and the Downtown Business Alliance (FDBA) joined forces to make this a family-friendly event. For a magical few hours, Aspen becomes a pedestrian-only zone, making it possible to shop around 20+ vendors in peace. Check out local growers and artists every Wednesday until September 7th.

This tournament has a special place in our hearts here at Peace Surplus because we’re on the team of hosts along with Findlay Toyota Flagstaff and Majestic Marketplace.
